About Our Program

The Humanities is a team-taught survey course in English for first year students from different fields of study. The course is designed in a lecture and discussion section format. Both Hum 101 and Hum 102 are 4 credits each, with two mandatory lectures and discussion sections. The bi-weekly morning lectures introduce important topics and themes, raising critical issues to be addressed in discussion sections. Organized chronologically and thematically, the lectures form the general framework for section discussions.
